Cerebral uninhibited bladder

This is a problem that is caused by brain damage, for example a brain tumour, hydrocephalus or stroke.

Characteristics:

  • Involuntary contraction of the bladder (leading to incontinence)
  • Inability to urinate at will
  • Trouble maintaining pressure in the bladder muscle so that the bladder can be completely emptied

Uninhibited bladder does not affect the coordination of the bladder and urethra.
